ACTIVITY 3: SUBANG EARRINGS
Subang
Subang earrings are the traditional craft from the indigenous tribe in Luzon Island, the Agta or Aeta. It was not confirmed, but some theories are saying that it was inspired by the flower that can only be seen in the mountains of Sierra Madre.
Using the two different kinds and sizes of a yard, a very fashionable earring can be created, and this kind of earrings gives a very cool tribal vibe. It was very easy to make and have cheap materials. This kind of craft was so underrated that only a few people know them. It was nice if it was taught to the elementary students in their art subject so that their young minds were able to establish, the awareness of the existence of indigenous people and change the norms about them.
